“Co.Co.Tour” 3rd Consortium Meeting
Overview

On 31st July 2019, the “Co.Co.Tour” project held its 3rd Consortium Meeting in the Municipality of Herceg Novi in Montenegro, with the participation of 6 project partners from Albania, Italy and Montenegro. The meeting opens with Mr Stevan Katic, Mayor of Herceg Novi, that welcomed the participants by highlighting also the relevance of the project for Herceg Novi municipality and the entire region. After initial greetings, Mr Endri Teta, as representative of Lead Partner, Albanian Development Fund, holds a brief presentation. After the ceremonial part, the project manager Ms Mirbana Lame presents the work progress for Work Package Management and Communication, emphasizing the importance of regular communication and joint efforts to organize project activities and achieve deliverables on time. Particular focus was placed to management issues, communication and visibility pointing out achievements so far and challenges ahead.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to the development of a cross-border eco-museum model for enhancing the cultural and touristic potential of coastal communities. The third part of the meeting was dedicated to the development of diversified, accessible and smart products by a “Community tourism strategy”. The last part was dedicated to the renovation, physical accessibility, and preparation of the ecomuseum spaces in Himara, Herceg Novi and Tricase Municipality. In conclusion, was presented the Action & Work plan prepared for the 4th Period in synergies with work package presentations of project partners and followed by discussions for each activity or deliverable.

The "Co.Co.Tour" project aims at securing a smart, inclusive and sustainable growth of the coastal communities in the target areas through the development of a cross border eco-museum model and a common strategy focused on community tourism.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Instrument for Pre –Accession Assistance (IPA III), Interreg IPA Cross Border Cooperation Italy – Albania – Montenegro.
